The highest number of dengue patients is between 16 to 30 years old.
At least 256 people in between 16 to 30 years old were affected by dengue in 24 hours on Thursday while the number is 120 in between 31 to 45 years old people and 68 in between 46 to 60 years old people.
Since January 1, at least 7,198 people of the first age group were affected by dengue, while the numbers are 4,138 and 1,966 corresponding to the second and third age group.
However, at least 561 more dengue patients were admitted at different hospitals across the country and 460 patients were discharged on Thursday.
Dengue killed one person on September 12.
Among the deaths since January 1, 31 patients died of dengue belonged to the age group of 16 to 30 years, 21 to the age group of 31 to 45 and 17 to the age group of 46 to 60.
However, the highest number of dengue patients at 9,468 was reported in Dhaka division since the beginning of the year.
At least 59 dengue patients died in Dhaka South City Corporation since January 1 while the second highest number of deaths at 15 was recorded in Chattogram division, barring one death in the Chattogram City Corporation.
According to the Directorate of General of Health Services (DGHS), a total of 103 people died of dengue this year until September 12.
The highest number of death at 27 and dengue cases at 6,521 were recorded in August.
At least 5,004 people were affected by dengue in the last 12 days of September while 20 of them died of the fatal disease.
