Chinese company to invest $4m in Cumilla EPZ

Chinese company Tianhui Button (BD) Co Ltd. is going to set up a garment accessories manufacturing industry in Cumilla Export Processing Zone (Cumilla EPZ). 

They will invest US$ 4 million to produce annually 700 million pcs of different kind of buttons like plastic button, resin button, ABS button, metal button and PU leather accessories. This foreign company will create employment opportunity for 139 Bangladeshi nationals.  

In presence of BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman an agreement to this effect signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Tianhui Button (BD) Co. Ltd. at BEPZA Complex, Dhaka on Thursday, says a press release. 

Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA Md. Ashraful Kabir and Chairman of Tianhui Button (BD) Weirong Ni signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

Member (Engineering) Mohammad Faruque Alam, Member (Finance) A N M Foyzul Haque, Executive Director (Admin) A.S.M. Zamshed Khondaker, Executive Director (Investment Promotion) Md. Tanvir Hossain, Executive Director (Enterprise Services) Md. Khorshid Alam, Executive Director Moshiuddin Bin Mesbah and Executive Director (Public Relations) A.S.M Anwar Parvez along with representatives of the enterprise were present during the signing ceremony.
