Md Humayun Kabir Khandaker, senior secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and Md Shamsul Arefin, secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Division, have been made officers on special duty (OSD).
A notification, signed by Md Alamgir Kabir, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, issued in this regard on Thursday.
The notification stated that they have been made OSDs at the Ministry of Public Administration. This order, issued in the public interest, will take effect immediately.
Meanwhile, the interim government decided to remove all the secretaries appointed on a contractual basis.
As per the decision, contractual appointments of some officers are being cancelled and some officers are being transferred or made OSD..
