Students of Ideal College and Dhaka College in the capital got involved in clashes at Science Lab in the capital on Tuesday afternoon.
Several students, as well as journalists were injured in the clash that ensued around 1:30pm.
It was learnt that Ideal College students had allegedly beaten up Pavel, a student of Dhaka College. Centering the issue, students on the both the college, being equipped with sticks, locked in a clash, obstructing the movement of vehicles in and around the area.
Dhaka College students also allegedly vandalised at Ideal College.
New Market Police Station OC Mohsin Uddin said, "We are on the spot and trying to control the situation."
Army members are also on the spot.
