Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday predicted light to moderate rains across the country in 24 hours commencing 9AM.
According to the latest bulletin, "Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country."
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Meanwhile, maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to lower signal.
Squally weather is unlikely over North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.
Besides, the deep depression over Northwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal moved north-northwestwards, weakened into a depression and now lies over Odisha and adjoining East Madhya Pradesh.
It is likely to move northwesterly direction and weaken gradually. The axis of monsoon trough runs through Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, center of the depression, West Bengal to Assam across southern part of Bangladesh.
