Four persons were killed after a pickup van hit an easybike in Bagerhat's Fakirhat upazila on Monday morning.
The accident happened on the Khulna-Bagerhat highway's Town Nowapara area at about 8:30AM.
The accident also left one person injured.
The deceased were identified as school teacher Nipa Begum, 28, masons Md Masum, 30, Shawkat Ali, 40, and Hiron, 45.
According to Fakirhat Fire Service station officer Mollah Mohammad Moniruzzaman and Katakhali Highway Police Station SI Md Ashraful Islam, a pickup van hit an easybike, carrying passengers, when it reached Town Nowapara area, leaving three dead on the spot and two others injured critically.
Later, one of the injured succumbed to his injuries on way to Khulna Medical College Hospital from Fakirhat Upazila Health Complex.
The bodies were recovered from the spot and those will be handed over to the families after legal procedure, said Katakhali Highway Police Station OC Md Mizanur Rahman.
