Inflation drops to 10.49pc in August

The overall inflation has decreased by 1.17 per cent in August compared to July, according to a data released by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) on Sunday.

Food inflation eased to 11.36 per cent in August, compared to 14.10 per cent in July while non-food inflation increased slightly to 9.74 per cent from 9.68 per cent in July, as per BBS.

However, wages of unskilled workers grew slightly from 7.93 per cent to 7.96 per cent.
