Chandpur BNP president Sheikh Farid Ahmed Manik

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has served a show cause notice to its Chandpur district unit president for breaching party discipline.

A source from BNP has acknowledged the matter on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the BNP leader Sheikh Farid Ahmed Manik, a businessman in Chandpur, said that he has received the show-cause notice and will give his reply within two days.

He said that to solve a problem between two groups on the request of reporter Julkarnien, he fell in the trouble. He said there is no specific accusation against him, so hoped that his party will satisfied with the reply.
