Youth's body found floating in Bhola's Meghna

The body of an unidentified young man was recovered from the Meghna River in Bhola's Monpura upazila on Sunday.

The body was recovered from the river on the eastern side of Monpura Union of the upazila, adjacent to Kauartek.
The body could not be identified as it was half-decomposed.

It was known that in the morning locals saw the body floating in the river and informed police. On information, police from Monpura Police Station recovered the body and handed it over to river police. However, the police believe that the it is the body of a fisherman of Borhanuddin Upazila who went missing four days ago.

In this regard, Monpura Police Station OC (Investigation) Tarik Hasan said the body has been recovered and handed over to the river police. After the legal process, it has been sent to Bhola morgue for autopsy.
