MADARIPUR, Sept 7: A murder case was filed against 27 people including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in connection with the murder of Dipta Dey, a student of Madaripur Government College.

According to the details of the case, on July 18, under the guidance of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the then Home Minister Asaduzzaman Kamal attacked the students of the anti-discrimination movement with the help of local Awami League parliamentarians.
The students plunged into the Shakuni Lake. As a result, Dipta Dey, a student of Madaripur Government College, was chased by the attackers and fell into the lake.
The case was filed with the Judicial Magistrate's Court by naming 27 people and 200 to 300 unknown people as accused in the killing.
