Information Adviser Md Nahid Islam and Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan condemned attack on Dhaka University Journalists' Association (DUJA) President Al Sadi Bhuiyan and Jagonews.com staff reporter Nahid Hasan.
They visited the journalist duo at DU Medical Centre on Friday night and expressed deep concern over the incident.
The advisers assured the victims of bringing the attackers to book.
Culprits, who carried out the attack on journalists, will be quickly identified and arrested, said the advisers.
Adviser Nahid said, "Students and the people staged a mass uprising against discrimination. After the July mayhem, this attack on journalists is shameful to us, as the DUJA members played an important role during the revolution."
"DU correspondents of different media houses have been reporting defying all odds. Without their positive support, it would have been difficult to succeed in the student-led mass uprising. The culprits involved in the incident will be arrested and brought to justice soon," he said.
Journalists Al Sadi and Nahid were attacked by three local BNP leaders and 40 to 50 other unidentified people at Banga Islamia Super Market at Shahbagh on September 3.
In this regard, Al Sadi filed a case with the Shahbagh Police Station on September 4.
However, no accused has been arrested so far.
Despite several calls, this correspondent could not reach Investigation Officer of the case Sub-Inspector Saimul Islam for updates.
