Dear Sir

Recent stabbing incident near central bus terminal in Pabna, which claimed  lives of Milon Hossain Modhu and Monju Pramanik, highlights a critical and disturbing issue: escalating violence linked to drug-related disputes. The attack, reportedly connected to drug trade, occurred in broad daylight in front of Halim Hotel, underscoring the urgency of addressing this crisis.

Both victims, Modhu and Monju, had ties todrug trade and were attacked while going about their daily routine. This incident not only reflects the dangerous dynamics of drug-related conflicts but also raises concerns about the influence of political connections in these activities. The alleged involvement of local political figures in the drug trade adds a troubling layer to this situation.

The police are investigating the murders, but immediate action is needed beyond this case. Strengthening anti-drug enforcement, enhancing community safety measures, and addressing the broader socio-political factors contributing to such violence should be top priorities. It is crucial for local leaders and authorities to act decisively to combat drug-related violence and ensure justice for the victims.
