A case has been filed against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and 440 others over the death of one Mazir Uddin in 2015.
Masufa Begum, wife of Mazir, a resident of Maria village under Charghat upazila in the district, filed the case with Puthia police station on Wednesday night, said Kabir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Puthia police station.
He said they would take legal action in this regard.
The other accused in the case include -- former minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader and former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.
According to the case statement, a group of miscreants equipped with firearms and lethal weapons, carried out an attack on a programme titled ‘Killing Day of Constitution and Democracy’ organised by 20-party alliance at Puthia in Rajshahi on January 5, 2015, leaving Mazir Uddin dead on the spot.
