A case has been against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and 67 others over the killing of rickshaw-puller Md Sohagh, who was gunned down in front of icddr,b in Mohakhali of Dhaka city during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
Md Nurul Islam, father of the victim, filed a complaint with the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arfatul Rakib’ s court.
The court after recording statement of the complainant, asked Banani police to file it as first information report (FIR).
The other accused are- former road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader, former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former foreign minister Hasan Mahmud, former state minister for information and broadcasting Mohammad A Arafat, Sheikh Selim, Md Atikul Islam, former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah-Al Mamun, former DB chief Harun-Ur Rashid, former DMP joint commissioner Biplob Kumar Sarker.
According to the complaint, Md Sohagh was shot in front of the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b) in Mohakhali during the movement on July 19.
