Dengue claims three more lives; 358 hospitalised

Three more dengue patients died while 358 patients were hospitalised with viral fever across the country in the 24 hours till Thursday morning.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), with the fatalities, the death toll from the mosquito-borne disease rose to 91 this year.

Among the new patients, 57 were admitted in hospital under Dhaka North City Corporation while 108 were hospitalized in Dhaka South City Corporation.
Some 1,409 patients are receiving treatment in different hospitals across the country.

A total of 14, 686 dengue cases have been reported since January 1, 2024.

Last year, 1,705 people lost their lives due to dengue, making it the deadliest year on record.
