The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka has directed Higher Secondary Certificate and equivalent candidates to submit their attested Xerox copies of JSC and SSC test transcripts and admit cards by Sept 12.
An emergency notice with necessary instructions in this regard, signed by Dhaka education board exam controller Md Abul Bashar, was issued on Tuesday.
The government cancelled the HSC and equivalent examinations in the wake of student protests on Aug 20.
However, the education boards are set to publish results on the basis of candidates' scores in the JSC, SSC and equivalent exams following the experience of examinations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
An 'emergency notice' has been issued amid the persistent circumstances on Wednesday. The candidates of the 2024 HSC exams have been told to submit necessary documents, including attested Xerox copies of JSC, SSC and equivalent test transcripts and admit cards to the exam centres' acting officers and board of principals by Sept 12.
The six-point list of instructions in the notice is as follows:
Private candidates who passed the SSC before 1996 will have to submit Xerox copies of the SSC transcript (verified by the concerned board) and 2024 HSC examination admit card to the Higher Secondary Examination Branch of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, after attestation by the principal. The concerned institution will have to collect the list of candidates from the Higher Secondary Examination Branch.
Candidates who own an equivalent certificate of the 2024 HSC examination will have to submit principal-attested transcripts of JSC or equivalent (if applicable) and SSC or equivalent examinations (including documents certifying the number/grade system) and certificate equivalent to the Dhaka Education Board and a Xerox copy of the 2024 HSC admit card to the Higher Secondary Examination Branch of the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Dhaka.
Candidates who have passed the JSC-equivalent and SSC-equivalent examinations from the Technical Education Board, Madrasa Education Board and Bangladesh Open University and participated in the HSC examination 2024, have to submit the transcripts of the JSC-equivalent and SSC-equivalent examinations and the copy of 2024 HSC admit card to the Higher Secondary Examination Branch of the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Dhaka, with attestation by the principal.
All the candidates have to include marks obtained in the practical examination of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT, Subject Code-275) during class activities online, retain its hard copy at the centre and submit the original copy to the Higher Secondary Examination Branch of the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Dhaka. Under no circumstances can candidates can be brought to the college on the pretext of practical examinations.
The list of absent and expelled candidates during the examinations will have to be submitted to the Higher Secondary Examination Branch of the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Dhaka.
The original copy of the subject-wise signatures of the candidates will have to be submitted to the Higher Secondary Examination Branch of the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Dhaka, retaining a copy at the examination centre.
