46th founding anniv of BNP observed in dists

The 46th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) was observed on Sunday across the country.

To mark the Day, different programmes were organized in districts including Bogura and Joypurhat.

BOGURA: This year's programme in the district was observed in a limited scale due to flood. 

The Day's programme began with hoisting of the national and the party flags on the District BNP office premises in the town at around 9:30 pm.

After that, wreaths were placed on the portrait of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman.

A discussion meeting was also held there marking the significance of the Day. 

After Asr prayers, a Doa Mahfil was arranged at Bogura Baytur Rahman Central Mosque.
 
Earlier, the leaders and activists provided financial assistance to the family members of the martyrs of anti-discrimination student movement in the town.

Former lawmaker Golam Mohammad Siraj, District BNP president, its general secretary (GS) Ali Azgar Talukder Hena, and Advisor to the BNP Chairperson Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu, among others, were present at that time. 
  
JOYPURHAT: On the occasion of the Day, different programmes were organized in the district.

The Day's programme began with hoisting of the national and party flags on District BNP office premises at Station Road in the town at around 8 am. 

After that, wreaths were place on the portrait of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.

A discussion meeting was also held there.

Assistant Organizing Secretary of Rajshahi Divisional BNP Obaidur Rahman Chandan was present as the chief guest while District BNP Convenor Golzar Hossain presided over the meeting.

District BNP Senior Joint Convenor Masud Rana Pradhan, Convenor of Jatiotabadi Krishak Dal Selim Reza Duke, Mohila Dal President Ruli Begum, and its GS Jaheda Kamal, among others, also spoke at the programme.
