JCIAD, Japanese Asso donate Tk2m for flood-hit people

The Japanese Commerce and Industry Association in Dhaka (JCIAD) and the Japanese Association in Dhaka are proud to announce a generous donation of 0.2 million Taka to support individuals and families affected by flood insecurity in Bangladesh through Red Crescent Society, Bangladesh. This contribution is part of ongoing commitment to humanitarian aid and community support to the people of Bangladesh.

"We are honoured to contribute to the well-being of the people in Bangladesh," said, President of JCIAD (SHOO-KOO-KAI), Atsushi Hirakuri, while he handed over the check to the Secretary General of Red Crescent Society, Dr. Kabir Md. Ashfar Alam, NDC at headquarters of Red Crescent Society in Dhaka recently, says a press release. 
Secretary General of Red Crescent Society said "The Bangladesh Red Crescent Society has been at the forefront of disaster response and humanitarian aid in the country. With this donation, we hope to make a significant impact on the lives of those struggling with food insecurity and to inspire others to contribute to this vital cause".

President of The Japanese Association in Dhaka, Manabu Sugawara said, "This donation reflects our dedication to supporting those in need and fostering a spirit of solidarity and compassion."

The JCIAD (Shoo-Koo-Kai) and the Japanese Association in Dhaka have a long history of community involvement and support.
Among others from Japan side, Naoki Kudo, Vice President of Japanese Association, Hiroshi Uegaki, Secretary General of Japanese Association and Mr. Yuji Ando, Secretary General of JCIAD (Shoo-Koo-Kai) were also present.

From Red Crescent Society, Dr. Kabir Md. Ashfar Alam, NDC, Secretary General, Sultan Ahmed, Deputy Secretary General, Dr. Shahana Zafor, Director, Fundraising, Md. Mijanur Rahman, Director, Disaster Response and Adith Shah Durjoy, Senior NSD Manager, IFRC attended.
