Man's throat-slit body found in Lalmonirhat

Police recovered the throat-slit body of a man at Aditmari upazila in Lalmonirhat district on Saturday morning.   

The body was found at his house in Tiper Bazar area under Sarpukur union in the upazila. 

The deceased was identified as Tahmidul Rahman Tara Miah, 40, a resident of the area.

Locals said that Tara Miah had lived alone since his wife have been staying abroad for the past seven years. 
It is estimated that on Friday night, miscreants killed him and fled from the scene. 
On saturday morning, locals spotted the body and informed the police. 

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to a hospital morgue for an autopsy, said Mahmud-un-Nabi, officer-in-charge of Aditmari Police Station. 

“We suspect that he may have been murdered, and legal procedures are underway in this regard,” the OC added.
