Sylhet BNP demands tracing missing Ilias Ali

Sylhet District Unit of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Sunday formed a human chain with a demand to trace BNP's former organizing secretary M Ilias Ali, who along with his driver Ansar Ali, went missing from Dhaka's Banani area on April 17, 2012.
BNP's Sylhet District Unit President Abdul Quiyum Chowdhury chaired the human chain formed at Court Point in the city.
BNP Chairperson's Adviser Khandaker Abdul Muktadir addressed the programme as the chief guest.
The speakers claimed that under the patronisation of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, many BNP leaders and workers including Ilias Ali were abducted.
BNP Central Committee's Microcredit Affairs Assistant Secretary Abdur Razzak, BNP's Sylhet District Unit General Secretary (GS) Emran Ahmed Chowdhury and Sylhet City BNP GS Emdad Hossain Chowdhury, among others, also spoke at the programme.
