Drug dens in Dhanmondi Lake

Dear Sir

I am a resident from Dhanmondi area. Almost every evening, I with my family members go to Dhanmondi Lake. On a hot summer like this a walk beside the lake can be very relaxing and enchanting to pass the leisure time. But the main problem is the security system of Dhanmondi Lake.

After the sun goes down many places of Dhanmondi Lake became the dens of drug addicted people. One may easily get the smell of weed from Dhanmondi Lake. Mugging is frequently happening there. Young boys from the surrounding areas are involved with it. Transgender people are also seen to collect money. If people refuse to give money they make chaos and they misbehave.
Although there are some security guards in Dhanmondi Lake but they are not enough to watch the whole area. We hope concern authority will take some steps to ensure the safety and security of visitors of Dhanmondi Lake.
