The members of Bangladesh Army will return to their respective cantonments after police force start working properly.

Army chief general Waker-uz-Zaman told journalists while briefing army members at a temporary camp in Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna on Monday.

He said that the army members are working in key point areas of every division. They will return to the cantonment after the policemen start their work properly. The army chief also hoped that the situation will be normal soon.
He said policemen are rejoining work and 95 per cent police stations across the country have resumed operations. In Dhaka, around 85 per cent police stations are working.

Responding to a question the Army chief said only 30 minority-related crimes have occurred in 20 districts across the country and most of the crimes were arson and looting of temples.

He mentioned that most of these happened for political reasons.
