The coordinators of Jagannath University's anti-discrimination student movement convened a consultative meeting with the entire student body to deliberate and put out their demands. Nur Nabi, the head coordinator, outlined 13 specific demands. The gathering was held on Sunday in the main auditorium of the institution.

During the meeting, students proposed various issues for consideration. Among these are the resignation of the university's Vice-Chancellor, Proctorial Body, Registrar, and Hall Provost.

Additional demands included banning student politics on campus, formulating a JnUSU (Jagannath University Students' Union) policy, accelerating the development of a second campus, and enhancing the quality of cafeteria food.

The 13 demands are - Vice-Chancellor, Proctorial Body, Hall Provost, Head of the Student Welfare Office, and Registrar must resign within 24 hours, student politics based on factional loyalty must cease within the campus. (While personal political affiliations outside the campus are permissible, all individuals should be considered general students within the campus.

The university administration must cover all medical expenses for the martyrs and injured students.

Individuals who previously held positions in student organizations and gained employment on that basis, including Anthropology Departments faculty and those opposing the anti-discrimination movement or mocking martyrs and injured students, must resign within 2 days.

A JnUSU policy must be established, and an election must be organized by September 20. Occupied halls must be vacated immediately, and seat allocations should be based on merit.

The construction of the second campus should be expedited, with the army overseeing the project if necessary.

To ensure a conducive educational environment, teacher politics must be eliminated. Campus students should be given priority in teacher recruitment, and research funding should be increased.

A budget should be allocated to improve cafeteria food quality, and the construction of a new cafeteria should be completed promptly.

The quality of common rooms for female students must be improved, their safety ensured, and strict legal action should be taken against sexual harassment.

Effective measures must be implemented to prevent extortion and tender rigging in the name of politics around the campus.

The dependent quota and political appointments must be abolished permanently.

The university should withdraw from the cluster admission system and conduct independent entrance exams, establishing itself as an autonomous institution.

Coordinator Nur Nabi emphasised, "If we can achieve these 13 demands, we will improve the academic environment on our campus and address fundamental issues. By working together, we can build a better campus for everyone."
