Dear sir,
It is a world where the Internet is slowly taking control over our life. Now we are getting our knowledge, news, social interaction, travel, entertainment, daily products, fashion needs from this vast source of opportunity. There is not a single aspect of our life that is not touched by the advancing facilities of the online world.
But all that blessing comes with a hefty cost where it also contributing significantly to increase anxiety, mental stress, feelings of loneliness, inadequacy, fear of missing out (FOMO), depression, cyberbullying, self-absorption, overthinking, gaslighting, people pleasing, jealousy, perfectionism, and comparison.
Frequent exposure to negative content and comments in the digital space can also erode a sense of goodness and shared humanity. And all these things are greatly affecting our youth as they are spending more and more time in the digital realm.
We now really need to act as soon as possible to reduce the suicide, harassment, physical and mental harm happening due to the irresponsible usage of internet facilities.
