JASHORE, Aug 9: The Import-export activities resumed through Benapole Land Port on Thursday after being closed for three consecutive days.

Considering the insecurity, for the last three days, India has stopped exporting all types of goods to Bangladesh through the Petrapol Port, which is connected to the Benapole Port.

On Wednesday, Benapole Port Director, Customs and C&F Agent leaders contacted the Petrapol authorities and requested them to start import-export of goods. Petrapol Customs, Port and C&F Agents decided sending their cargo trucks to Benapole Port in Bangladesh in a joint discussion on Wednesday afternoon.

Benapole Clearing Agent Staff Association General Secretary Sajedur Rahman confirmed it.
