Chittagong University (CU) will reopen on August 19 after month-long closure.
The decision was taken at the 552nd emergency syndicate meeting held online on Wednesday night.
CU Syndicate Member Prof Dr Shamim Uddin Khan said the university dormitories will officially open on August 18.
However, administrative operations have already resumed. Students can apply for hall seats online from Saturday (August 10) to August 14.
Those who have applied earlier do not need to apply again. Seat allocations will be announced on August 17.
Dr Shamim said the university also proposed financial assistance for those killed and injured during the anti-discrimination student movement.
Besides, a condolence was offered for the two CU students who lost their lives in the protests.
The educational institutes across the country had been closed on July 17 for indefinite period, following quota reform movement.
