Dhaka Bank PLC promoted A K M Shahnawaj as Additional Managing Director with effect from July 1, 2024, says a press release.
He joined Dhaka Bank in 2013 as SEVP and served the bank in the capacity of Regional Manager, Chattagram, Manager of Local Office Branch, Dhaka and lastly as Deputy Managing Director since July 2018 prior to this promotion.
Shahnawaj started his banking career in 1989 as a Probationary Officer at Arab Bangladesh bank Ltd. Later, since 1996, he served Muslim Commercial Bank Ltd. and Bank Asia PLC in various capacities mostly as Credit Manager and Head of Branches before joining Dhaka Bank.
After completing his MBA from IBA, Dhaka University, he has been serving Dhaka Banking industry for the last 35 years. He has attended different training on Banking, Management and Leadership at home and abroad. His extensive banking experience backed by academic background on business administration is poised to drive Dhaka Bank PLC towards new heights of success & excellence.
