Protest at Bangladesh Bank; deputy governors, advisers flee away

Deputy governors and advisors of Bangladesh Bank (BB) have been forced to flee away following the protest of the officials.

At about 10:30am on Wednesday, the officials started demonstration against the governor, deputy governors and advisers for assisting in robbery, usurpation, unethical benefits and various irregularities in the banking sector.

They were then chanting slogan, 'Bhuya Bhuya'.
The officials now sit-in under the 30-storey building.

The situation is 'out of control', said BB spokesperson Mezbaul Haque.
