UK rejects Hasina's asylum request

United Kingdom has rejected Sheikh Hasina's request for political asylum. Indian media Anandabazar reported this information in a report on Monday.

According to the report, recently resigned Sheikh Hasina did not seek any political asylum in India. It was initially heard that she will leave for London on Monday night. Then it was known that Britain has rejected Hasina's request for political asylum.

Earlier, the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina landed at the IAF's Hindan Airbase near Delhi, the capital of India, around 5:30 pm.

According to several Indian sources, from there she will first travel to New Delhi and then to London.

However, no details were known about how long she will stay in New Delhi, or when she will board the flight to London.
