Operation of Dhaka airport shut

The Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital was closed on Monday afternoon.

No aircraft will take off or land at this time and the terminal will be closed, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

Earlier, Captain Kamrul Islam, executive director, (HSIA), told the media that all operation at the airport was shut  The updated information about the airport will be informed to media later, he said.

The airport, located in Dhaka, is a crucial hub for both domestic and international travel, making this closure particularly impactful.
Meanwhile, after the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina agitators entered the airport.

They carried out attacks and vandalized Awami League party offices and residences of leaders and activists in different areas of the capital on Monday afternoon.
