Issuing a note of warning against the government, the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement coordinator Nahid Islam has asked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to decide whether she wants to continue violence and bloodshed, or resign accepting the demand of students.

"You yourself have to determine whether you would like to continue violence and bloodshed, or resign from power accepting students' demands," he said at a rally of students and masses at Shahbagh in the capital at 3:00pm on Sunday (August 4).

Nahid said: "Our intention, objective and destination are clear. Our only objective is to achieve victory. We are still providing time to the government. We are still looking at Ganabhaban."

The coordinator of the movement said, "Our one-point demand has been announced. Now, we are waiting to announce the outline of future Bangladesh. If we are made the victims of enforced disappearance, or killed, or arrested, or there is none to announce programmes, please continue the movement against this government."

Nahid Islam also alleged that the Awami terrorists had taken to the street directly on Sunday. "Awami League wants a civil war in Bangladesh. The government is unleashing a civil war like situation in the country. Students and people are ready to face any untoward situation. We have picked up sticks today. If sticks don't work, we are ready to pick up arms. You resist the government and face them, and chase the terrorists to leave Bangladesh."
