Govt announces three-day general holiday from Monday

The government announced a three-day general holiday on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for ensuring public safety amid the ongoing violent protests across the country.

A press release signed by the Ministry of Public Administration's senior secretary Mohammad Mezbah Uddin Chowdhury stated it on Sunday (August 4) afternoon.
Meanwhile, the government issued curfew in all city corporations, municipalities, industrial areas, district sadars and upazila sadars, including Dhaka metropolis, from 6 pm on Sunday until further notice.

The information was given by a press release of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
