Protesters clash with police in Sylhet

A clash broke out between police and protesters in Sylhet on Sunday afternoon.

The incident took place in the Court Point area in Sylhet, resulting in several individuals injured. 

The identities of the injured could not be known immediately.

Eyewitnesses said that following a pre-announced schedule, students and local residents began gathering at Court Point after 11am.
During this time, many participated in the procession armed with sticks. 

Clashes broke out around 12pm when police unexpectedly fired tear gas shells at the rally.

The clash was still ongoing till filing this report.
