Bangladesh shuts down mobile internet again

The government has ordered to shut mobile internet services again as violence spread to the country on the first day of non-cooperation movement of the Anti-Discrimination Students' Movement.

"A direction to stop 4G services came to us," a top official of mobile phone operator informed this to media on Sunday.

It was learned that after 1pm on Sunday, all mobile operators have shut mobile internet services.
The government has also directed that Meta platforms, including Facebook and WhatsApp, be blocked from the country's broadband internet connections.
