Imranur eliminated from preliminary heat

Bangladesh's fastest sprinter Imranur Rahman was eliminated from the preliminary heat in the 10m sprint event of the Paris Olympics after finishing sixth among eight participants on Saturday, reports BSS.

The 31-year-old sprinter, who ran in one of the six preliminary heats, clocked 10.73 seconds to finish his race, slower than his personal best of 10.11 seconds.

The England-based sprinter started well in the first 50 meters but eventually, he could not keep the challenge held at the purple track at Stade de France.
