Teenager shot in quota reform movement dies at DMCH

Another teenage boy, who sustained bullet injuries during the Quota Reform Movement, died at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) early Saturday.

The deceased Md Emon, 17, son of Md Selim of Cumilla district, used to live with his sister in Natun Bazar area of Badda.

Inspector Bachhu Mia, in-charge of DMCH, said Emon sustained a bullet injury during the clash over the Quota Reform Movement while going to his workplace on July 19.

Emon succumbed to his injuries around 3AM while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The body was kept at DMCH morgue for autopsy, said the police official.
Meanwhile, Emon’s elder sister Tahmina said that Emon used to work in a hotel on the footpath of Gulshan.

He was shot in the middle of a clash in the Natun Bazar area while he was going to his work place on July 19. He was admitted to DMCH in critical condition.
