Thousands of students took to the streets across
Chattogram city after Friday’s Jumma prayers demanding justice for killings during the recent Quota Reform Movement.
Earlier, the students gathered in front of Anderkilla Shahi Jame Mosque in the city and started the procession.
Later from there the procession went towards Newmarket junction via Laldighi Maidan.
After that they stayed there for half an hour and went to the railway station area again.
Khan Talat Mahmud Rafi, the coordinator of Chattogram anti-discrimination student movement, wrote in a Facebook post on Thursday, "In protest against mass killings and mass arrests, attacks on teachers and the 9-point demand of students, after Friday prayers in mosques across the country, prayer-grave visitation, prayers and prayers are organized in all places of worship, including temples and churches.
After the prayers, a mass procession of students will be held. Students, teachers, lawyers, doctors, intellectuals, cultural activists, media workers, human rights activists, clerics, workers, parents, and citizens of Chattogram from all walks of life are calling to make the anti discrimination student movement's 'prayer and student mass march' program a spontaneous success."
Although there were presence a large number of law enforcement agencies members but they were silent.
