Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted that light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur in eight divisions, including Dhaka, as monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay.
Rainfall activity is likely to continue for next four days, according to BMD's regular bulletin.
It said at light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rajshahi and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The axis of monsoon runs through Punjab, Hariyana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh.
