N’ganj passport office burnt in arson attack

NARAYANGANJ, July 24: A total of 7,500 passports of overseas workers were burnt to ashes as miscreants set ablaze on Narayanganj regional passport office during the recent violence.  

Deputy director of Narayanganj regional passport office Mahmudul Hasan told BSS that important documents including 7,500 passports were gutted in the arson attack on Narayanganj passport office.

"As many as 7,500 overseas workers are facing uncertainty for going abroad as their passports were gutted in the fire," he added.     

A case was filed with Fatullah thana in this connection.    —BSS
