Recording of testimony against Nobel laureate Prof Muhammad Yunus and 13 others was deferred to August 5 in a case filed over misappropriating of Tk 25.22 crore of Grameen Telecom Workers Profit Participation Fund.
Monday was fixed for recording testimony of witnesses in the court of Judge Rabiul Alam of Dhaka
Special Judge Court-4.
The defence lawyer submitted a prayer before the court mentioning the case is pending with High Court. Mentioning the cause, the defence lawyer sought time before the court.
After hearing the court allowed the time prayer of the defence lawyer.
Yunus appeared before the court in connection with the case.
On June 12, another Dhaka court framed charges against Yunus and 13 others.
On July 11, Prof Yunus and six other officials of Grameen Telecom challenged the charge framing order before the High Court.
The case was filed by the ACC on charge of misappropriating about Tk 25.22 crore of Grameen Telecom Workers Profit Participation Fund.
