BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday condemned   attacks on students in quota reform movement.

In a statement, he said, "Members of n Chhatra League and law enforcement personnel injured   students of universities by carrying out armed attacks on their peaceful protests."

"It is cowardly to injure students by using law enforcers and Chhatra League terrorists," he said.

"I demanded punishment of the terrorist  involved in the attacks," he said.
He wished speedy recovery of the injured students.

He said, violent attacks were carried out  of fear of losing power.
They want to cling to power at any cost, he said.

People, state, society, freedom, sovereignty are never safe in their hands, he said.
Awami League  wants to gag people using repression.

The Awami government is suppressing the ongoing student movement using repressive measures, he said.
Fakhrul said, today the police and Chhatra League terrorists jointly attacked students.

Dummy Awami government is continuously deceiving ordinary students about quotas in government jobs, he said.

After holding a meeting with Gono Odhikar Parishad at BNP Chairpersons Gulshan office, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, a member of the BNP Standing Committee said Awami League government tortured quota reformist inhumanly by circulating distorted slogans of students on Razakars to mislead the nation.

He condemned BCLs  attacks on anti-quota activists and filing false cases against them.

Khasru said, "The country does not belong to any group, Bangladesh belongs to the people. Today students protest is against a particular group."
