Woman killed being hit by pickup van in Kishoreganj

A woman was killed and her daughter injured after being hit by a pickup van at Hossenpur upazila in Kishoreganj district on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Sufia Akter, 40, wife of Kamal Hossain, a resident of Jamail village under the upazila.
According to locals, Sufia Akter along with her daughter went to morning walk at Purbo Dipeshwar area in the upazila. After a while, a speeding pickup van hit them when they tried to cross the Kishoreganj-Bhaluka road, leaving them critically injured.

The both were taken to Hossenpur Upazila Health Complex where the physicians declared Sufia dead.

Dr Tanvir Hossain, physician and Family Planning officer of Hossenpur Upazila Health Complex, confirmed the death.
