BCL, quota protestors clash at DU's Bijay Ekattor Hall

Several students were injured during a clash between quota protestors and Bangladesh Chhatra League activists at Bijay Ekattor Hall of Dhaka University on Monday afternoon.

Around 3pm, BCL men, equipped with sticks, started throwing brick bats to the protesting students from inside locking the hall gate. The protestors also retaliated with the sticks and threw brick chips.
At one stage, a chase and counter-chase took place. Some students were injured in the clash.

Another BCL group wearing helmets was found taking position near the Bijay Ekattor Hall.

A tense situation is prevailing at DU.
