Two die inhaling toxic gas inside septic tank

DAULATPUR, KUSHTIA, July 14: Two people died and another fell sick after inhaling toxic gas inside a septic tank in Daulatpur Upazila of the district on Saturday morning.
The incident took place in Ward No. 1 Bagowan area under Mathurapur Union of the upazila at around 8:30 am. 
The deceased were identified as Liton, 32, son of Haran Ali, and Rajon Hossain, 26, son of Yaar Alli. Both of them were residents of the area.
Mizan Hossain, brother of deceased Rajon, also fell sick in the incident. 
Mizan Hossain said, "Liton became sick while cleaning the septic tank. Then my brother Rajon Hossain went down to rescue him but he also fell sick."
Later on, "I went down to rescue my brother and also fell ill." 
"Locals and Fire Service members rescued us and took to Daulatpur Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared the duo dead." added Mizan Hossain.  
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Kushtia General Hospital morgue for autopsies.
Officer-in-Charge of Daulatpur Police Station Mahabubur Rahman confirmed the incident.
