Man killed in Satkhira road crash

An elderly man was killed as a bus hit his bicycle in Assasuni upazila of Satkhira district on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Rezaul Sana, 60, hailed from Adalotpur village of the upazila.

Assasuni Police Station officer-in-charge Biswajit Kumar Adhikari said the accident occurred around 10:30 am in Amtolar intersection area of the upazila when a bus hit a bicycle, leaving its rider critically injured.

The injured Rezaul was rescued and sent to Assasuni Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
