Quota protesters are crossing their limits by not accepting the order of the higher court, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan has said.
He warned that the issue of the court would be resolved at court. Police would not sit idle if they cause public sufferings.
The Home Minister made the remarks while replying to the queries of reporters at a press conference held at the Home Ministry's conference room at the secretariat in the capital early Thursday (July 11) afternoon.
The press conference was convened to talk about the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
Asaduzzaman Khan said the court has imposed status quo on quota issue. Therefore, quota doesn't exist now. "Students should try to understand it. There is no necessity for them to stay on the roads. If they stay on the roads, necessry steps will be taken as per the law."
Urging the students to return to their classes, the Home Minister said many are trying to realise benefits by instigating the students. Instead of putting their feet in those traps, he called upon the students to stay on the way of solution.
