Chief Justice Obaidul Hassan Wednesday inaugurated "Naykunja", a resting area for litigants, on Bogura Sessions Judge Court premises on Wednesday afternoon.
He then gave an orientation speech to the judicial officers of the district in the meeting room of Bogura District and Sessions Judge Court.
Among others, Senior District and Sessions Judge of Bogura AKM Mozammel Haque Chowdhury, Special Judge (Senior District and Sessions Judge) Md Shahidllah, Women and Child Repression Prevention Tribunal-2 Judge (Senior District and Sessions Judge) Nur Mohammad Shahriar Kabir, Administrative Tribunal Member (District Judge) Sharanim Akter, Women and Child Repression Prevention Tribunal-1 Judge (District and Sessions Judge) Ashiqul Khabir, Chief Judicial Magistrate Moniruzzaman, Additional District and Sessions Judges, Deputy Commissioner Saiful Islam, Police Super (Promoted Additional DIG) Sudeep Kumar Chakraborty were present on the occasion at that time.
Building a unique paradigm-setting initiative of the Bangladesh Supreme Court, 'Nyaykunja', with the funding of the Government of Bangladesh, considering the difficulties of litigants coming from far away places. Keeping public welfare in mind, justice aspirants will have peace of mind to rest in Nyaykunja. There are well-equipped best feeding corners for breastfed babies and mothers as per Bangladesh Supreme Court guidelines. There are separate toilets for women and men along with a separate food corner for buying food for emergency needs.
This waiting room has been constructed by the Public Works Department Bogura at a cost of about Tk 53 lakh.
