PANCHAGARH, June 25: A seminar on Problems arising in social security programme digitisation and solutions was held in the district on Tuesday.
The seminar was arranged in the training centre of the Social Services office in the district town. It was organized by the Social Services office.
Municipality Mayor Zakia Khatun was the chief guest at the seminar presided over and moderated by Town Social Service Officer Waliul Haque.
District Social Services Departments Assistant Director Golam Farooq was present as special guest.
Aniruddha Kumar Roy, deputy director (DD) of District Social Services Directorate, presented a keynote paper at the seminar.
Among others, councillors Safiqul Islam, Lutfar Rahman, Majedur Rahman Chowdhury Iran and Journalist Shahidul Islam Shahid spoke at the seminar.
The seminar disclosed that the number of various beneficiaries of the municipality under the City Social Service Office is 3,636. Annual expenditure is Tk 2,86,94,200.
A total of 22 people including all male and female councillors of the municipality, social service office officials and media workers participated in the seminar.
Panchagarh City Social Services office organized the programme.
A total of 28 people including president, team leader, assistant team leader, borrower members, various beneficiaries, representatives of voluntary organizations and employees of related offices took part in the workshop.
