Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that Bangladesh's Teesta project would be implemented with India's cooperation.

"We will do the Teesta project in Bangladesh with the cooperation of India. New Delhi has assured us about that," she said this at a press conference at her official Ganabhaban residence on Tuesday morning.

The press conference was held on the outcomes of her recent visit to India.
She said, "We have discussed mutual cooperation and involvement between Bangladesh and India. We have agreed to cooperate wholeheartedly for the welfare of our two countries and people."

"Sheikh Hasina does not sell out the country nor does she compromise its interests because she knows the pain the nation endured to attain independence," the prime minister added.
