Australia skipper Mitchel Marsh won the toss and asked India to bat first in the Super 8 encounter of ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia on Monday.

India went to the ground remaining unchanged while Australia made one change in their playing squad bringing Mitchel Starc in action in place of Ashton Agar.

India have been unbeaten in the tournament so far and now they have a chance to knock Australia out of the tournament.

Meanwhile, the Aussies were exposed by Afghanistan just a couple of days back, but that was in the absence of their spearhead - Mitchell Starc. There’s a massive difference between a team with and without Mitchell Starc. It’s a must-win situation for Australia.

Teams:
India (Playing XI):
Rohit Sharma(c), Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant(w), Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah

Australia (Playing XI):
Travis Head, David Warner, Mitchell Marsh(c), Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Tim David, Matthew Wade(w), Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood
